Planning Your Event: Some Things to Keep in Mind
I’ll be flat out honest with you, centerpieces can be the budget killers. Utilize any pieces from the church to add pop to the room and cut down on the overall bill. There are so many different options. Generally it starts around $25 for something very basic and can run up into the hundreds of dollars for an elaborate display. Table count also plays a big part. Doing large centerpieces for 8 tables is much easier than doing pieces for 30 tables. Reduce your cost by doing half of the tables with a floral arrangement and the other half of your tables with candles. Vary your centerpieces when you can, it can be quite boring to do the same thing when you have several tables. Use your imagination! While the centerpieces can tax your budget, they really do add a lot to a room. A beautiful centerpiece surrounded by candles really sets off the table.
I love doing flowers on cakes. It’s like working with a blank canvas. Simple flowers dotting the cake, a topper to coordinate with your flowers or all over cake decoration are just some of the many things we can do. I love to put the flowers on myself, however if your cake decorator prefers to do it, I’m more than happy to provide the flowers for them.
